Anteater Behavior

Anteaters are solitary mammals. They have a keen sense of smell, but poor eyesight. These animals eat ants and termites, but will also eat other insects. The giant anteater's predators are jaguars and pumas. When threatened, the anteater will rear up on its hind legs, and will strike extremely rapidly with its powerful sharp claws.
