Black Bear Behavior

American black bears are solitary animals. They are omnivorous, eating plants, fruits, nuts, insects, honey, salmon, small mammals and carrion. They are also extremely adaptable animals.

Asian black bears are solitary and omnivorous as well, but they have an aggressive behavior and are quite aggressive towards human beings. Asian black bears are nocturnal, spend most of their time in trees and sleep in nests at a height of up to 40 meters.
