Hedgehog Information

The hedgehog is a small spiny mammals of the subfamily Erinaceinae and the order Erinaceomorpha. There are 16 hedgehog species around the world. Hedgehogs can be found in Europe, Asia, Africa, and New Zealand. They can live in a wide variety of habitats.

The hedgehog has 25 mm long spines on the upper part of its body. When threatened, it can roll itself into a ball impossible to attack. Hedgehogs are useful because they prey on many common garden pests. They will eat it will eat slugs, beetles, caterpillars, etc.
