Insect Behavior

Insects have sense organs for taste, touch, smell, hearing, and sight. They use sounds, odors, and bioluminesence for communication. Most insects are solitary, while some insects are very social. Ants are the most highly developed social insects. Termites, bees and wasps are also social insects. Some insects are predators, others are parasites, blood feeders or scavengers. Insects eat roots, leaves, seeds, fruits, fabrics, or blood of larger animals. Some insects even eat other insects.
