Lorikeet Behavior

Lorikeets tend to live in large groups. They are noisy birds. Some species tend to be territorial, while some species are more aggressive than others. Lorikeets eat flowers, seeds, nectar and fruit. They have very specialized tongues for feeding on nectar. Lorikeets are intelligent birds. They can be trained and some of them are even able to talk. Lorikeets enjoy swinging and hanging upside down, sometimes for hours at a time. Their main predators include falcons and snakes.
