Pig Behavior

Pigs are very social animals. They form social hierarchies. Pigs are also very intelligent creatures, being able to learn quickly. Pigs can be trained to learn different tasks and tricks. They have an acute sense of smell and excellent hearing. But they have poor eyesight. These animals are very clean. Pigs are omnivores; they will eat just about anything. Pigs communicate with each other by different oinks, grunts, and squeals. Pigs do not have functional sweat glands, so they cool themselves using water or mud.
