Squirrel Behavior

Squirrels live in trees, but will descend to the ground to search for acorns or other nuts. Their diet also includes flowers, fruits, seeds, berries. Several species of squirrels are known to hoard grain or nuts to eat during the winter.

Squirrels communicate through a series of chirps (frequency range is between .01 KHz. and 10 KHz.). When a squirrel senses danger, its first instinct is to stand motionless.
